How can I see the changes I make on my site?
We suggest that you open two browsers — one for optometry.net and one for your website. After you make a change, make sure that you refresh or reload the Web page on your site in order to see the changes.
How do I open a second browser to see my site changes?
On most browsers use Ctrl + N (hold down the Ctrl key and press the 'N' key at the same time). This will launch a second browser window.

You can also go to File/New and click on the Navigator Window (Netscape) or Windows (MS Internet Explorer).

For Netscape and Mozilla browsers use Ctrl + T (hold down the Ctrl key and press the 'T' key at the same time) to open a new tab within the same window.

You can also go to File/New and click on the Navigator Tab (Netscape) or File/New tab (Mozilla).

Is there a limit to how many pages I can add to my site?

There is no limit. You can add as many pages to your site as you wish. All of the new sections and subsections that you add will appear directly under the menus in your website. Your customers will be able to easily navigate throughout your website.

How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your optometry.net subscription at anytime by clicking on "Cancel my Subscription" from Account Administration section.
Can I add a privacy statement to my web site?
Yes. To comply with the April 14, 2003, HIPAA privacy rule, you can add your HIPAA privacy statement on your Home Page as a separate link to a new popup page.

Instructions:
  • Login to the Admin section of your optometry.net website.
  • Click on the Privacy Statement link, from Quick Links box (located on the left side of the screen) to open the Privacy Statement editor.
  • Check the Hide this section check box only if you do not want your patient to have the option to read or print the Privacy Statement.
  • If you do want your patients to read or print the Privacy Statement, type your privacy statement in the text editor.
  • Click the Submit button to save your Privacy Statement text.
  • Go to your optometry.net website. You will see an image link (button) to the Privacy Statement directly below the "Legal Disclaimer". Click on the "Privacy Statement" link to open up the page that contains your statement.
Will my patients be able to complete and submit an online Patient Welcome Form through my optometry.net website?
YES. Your patients can complete and print an online Welcome Form before their first appointment. The easy-to-follow form asks questions about visual history, spectacle lens and contact lens history, social history, eye history, general health, family history, and primary and secondary insurance. The data entered is secure, encrypted, and transfers into a legible, easy-to-read form that displays in the Admin section of your website.

To prevent unauthorized access to Welcome Forms, which contain Protected Health Information (PHI), you must first login to the Admin section of your password-protected optometry.net website to access, view, print, and download Welcome Form data. To protect your patient's confidentiality and ensure secure transmission of Welcome Forms, you will receive an email from optometry.net that only lists the name of the patient who sent a Welcome Form to your Admin site. Welcome Forms will not be attached to the email.
